What is WWE Evolve?

Evolve is WWE's entry-level developmental brand. It launched on March 5, 2025, and tapes weekly at the Performance Center. The show streams on Tubi in the United States and on YouTube for viewers elsewhere. Its roster is drawn from Performance Center recruits and wrestlers signed through WWE ID, the company's program for independent talent. Wrestlers who stand out on Evolve can move up to NXT.

The brand has two titles, the WWE Evolve Championship and the WWE Evolve Women's Championship. Harlem Lewis holds the men's title after beating Aaron Rourke on July 15, 2026. Nikkita Lyons is the women's champion, having taken the belt from Wendy Choo. Evolve runs larger shows under the Succession name, and Succession IV is scheduled for October 14, 2026.

Harlem Lewis and Harley Riggins fight before Succession IV

The episode was built around next week's title match. Lewis opened with a backstage promo in which he said Riggins might become champion one day, just not before him. Riggins answered in his own interview, making fun of Lewis and promising to leave Succession IV with the belt.

The two did not wait for the match. After the last bout, Lewis and Riggins started fighting backstage and kept going all the way to ringside while security tried to pull them apart. Riggins got the last word with a low blow on Lewis before the show went off the air.

Match recap

Cutler James def. Marcus Mathers

Mathers opened his night with a promo about being tired of playing the patient independent wrestler while he waits for an opportunity. He also aired his frustration with DarkState and Elijah Holyfield before Cutler James interrupted, which set up the opener. Braxton Cole showed up at ringside to distract Mathers, and Holyfield chased Cole to the back. James took advantage and won with a spinning release slam.

Anya Rune def. Veronica Haven

Rune needed about two minutes to beat Haven. The story came afterward, when Sloane Jacobs and Nikkita Lyons attacked Rune and put a trash can over her head.

Aaron Rourke def. Kale Dixon by disqualification

The former Evolve Champion's match with Dixon lasted just over a minute. Alix Brooks got involved from ringside, the referee called for the bell, and Dixon went after Rourke with a chair once the match was thrown out. Later in the night, Rourke promised he would make Dixon pay for it.

Jasper Troy def. CJ Valor

This one was supposed to feature Max Abrams, who had been handed a mystery opponent. A backstage segment with the MOG Squad showed the group unhappy about the situation, and Abrams' ongoing injury problems led to CJ Valor taking his place. Valor stepped into the match against Jasper Troy, who overpowered him and won by pinfall.

Other storylines

  • AJ Styles met Conan Lycan and Nathan Frazer in the gym and told Lycan he is getting a WWE ID contract.
