Oba Femi Calls Out Roman Reigns After Beating Bronson Reed at Money in the Bank
"Tribal Chief, no more running." Femi named his next target on the post-show, a few months after he passed on a SummerSlam title shot.
Oba Femi called out Roman Reigns on the Money in the Bank post-show on Saturday, October 10, 2026, less than an hour after he beat Bronson Reed at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. Big E asked him on the panel who he wanted next, the crowd started chanting "OTC," and Femi answered the champion directly:
Tribal Chief, no more running. It's about that time.
WWE has not announced a match between the two.
How Femi got past Bronson Reed
Femi pinned Reed with the Fall From Grace in a little under 12 minutes, and he had to get through most of The Vision to do it. Austin Theory, Logan Paul and Maxxine Dupri came down with Reed, and at one point Reed was handed brass knuckles and hit Femi with them twice. Femi kicked out of a Tsunami after that, put Theory out of the picture on the apron and then finished Reed.
On the post-show he gave Reed some credit. "Fair play to Bronson, he brought it," Femi said, adding that Reed "didn't hide behind, oh, 'I'm the future,' like Bron Breakker." He said Reed was going to use the chair and the brass knuckles, and that it "was not enough."
The feud started after Femi beat Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam and was talked up as the future of the company, which did not sit well with Breakker. Reed returned on September 6 to attack Femi during his match with Breakker, The Vision later took him out on Raw for a few weeks, and on September 28 Femi brought a signed contract for the Money in the Bank match that Reed accepted.
Femi and Reigns: the match that was put off
The two have never met in a singles match, but it nearly happened this summer. Femi beat Jey Uso in the King of the Ring final at Night of Champions to earn a world title match at SummerSlam. He gave that shot up to face Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell instead, and Reigns kept the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam without him.
WWE reportedly wants to build Femi vs. Reigns into as big a match as it can, and SummerSlam was seen internally as too early for it. That has not been confirmed by the company.
Reigns has held the title since WrestleMania 42 on April 19, 2026, when he beat CM Punk in Paradise, Nevada. He opened Money in the Bank by beating LA Knight in just under 27 minutes, finishing him with a Superman Punch and a Spear. After the match The 946 went after him and brawled with Solo Sikoa and The Usos.
What is next on Raw
Raw comes from Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, Louisiana, on Monday, October 12. The announced card has The Usos and Sikoa against The 946 of Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, a match general manager Adam Pearce made after Reigns asked him to deal with the group. Femi has not been announced for the show, and Reigns has not responded to the callout.
